Episode 149: Pulling Back The Curtain – Behind The Scenes With Our Growth Plan
One of our biggest struggles is figuring out how to take all of our rockstars all over the world and figure out how to collaborate.
Sometimes it’s hard to find the talent you need locally, and not having to settle on Aunt Mary.
So, a lot of our employees work remotely.
All the architecture of service companies is the same. You have your sales, service, operations. The nuts and bolts are similar.
We go through the same types of pain, suffering, struggles, and fears with our software company.
Today I have a special guest, Derreck Smallwood our COO mostly. He does a little bit of everything.
We have overcome this struggle and structured systems to where our workflow, productivity, and momentum doesn’t suffer from having massive scale.
One of the biggest and most useful things we do is breaking things up into smaller tasks helps greatly with systemizing things. We use scrum boards here, where you basically have tasks on the left and need to get them to the right to completion. This helps so you can take a look at a glance at where everyone on the team is at.
Even something like an instant message service that can integrate with your task boards.
