Community does not just mean someone you get with in real life and talk to. It doesn’t mean some high-level business mentor. If you’re listening now, I’m part of your community.
There was a 2-year window where I stopped my cleaning business and then came back to it later. I did 2 seasons in my early 20s to over 200 customers and was doing it as a hobby. I played in a rock band and had visions of stardom. My community was a bunch of blue collar working people.

My progression toward thinking big was really gradual!
I had no clarity or specifics on what I wanted to do with my life. I learned all of my sales talk from working as a mortgage banker at Quicken Loans. It wore me out! It was a high-pressure job.
I had an epiphany. I wanted to build my own dream, not someone else’s.
Finally, I decided it was time to make clear on what I wanted and change my community and became more drawn to people who had big hair crazy ideas, just at a basic level. Set my sights on building a business I could sell.
