The Story Of Sergeant Brian Murray

Like many war vets Brian has struggled to find his role back in civilian life after finishing his service in the air force.

  • Need someone to disassemble any variety of heavy machine guns foreign or domestic?  Brian is your guy.
  • Need someone to do reconnaissance work by jumping out of aircraft?  Brian is your guy.

But asking Brian to slowly assimilate back into society and find a new career is another story altogether.

Many military heroes feel the same way and after living a life filled with testosterone and adrenaline it can be pretty “underwhelming” working a typical dead end job back in the homeland.

A few months back Brian Murray was inspired by a Youtube video put out by Keith Kalfas.

(Keith has about 30,000 subscribers to his popular Youtube channel and he has led hundreds of people all over the world to take the leap and start their own service business.)

There is only one problem, Brian has no idea where to start.

I Give Brian A 30-Day Challenge

I decided to help Brian take the correct first steps to building a real business.  In todays episode we discuss his background and history but spend the majority of our time discussing how to WIN with his new business venture.  Before this interview Brian had only generated around $6,000 in revenue.

I offer a special challenge to Brian that over the next 30 days he create the massive momentum he will need to reach his goals.  I show him step by step what needs to be done and offer $500 of my own money as a reward for his follow through.

Join me in supporting and encouraging Brian as he does one of the scariest things of his life, start a business.

The RULES of the 30-Day Challenge:

  • -Brian must generate $3,000 in revenue OR generate 15 residential paying customers.
  • -Friends and Family don’t count and this revenue needs to come from people he doesn’t know.

The Hard Truth About Being a Vet

  • -At the end of the day, the marketplace will not feel sorry for Brian because of his military service.
  • -It will not show favoritism.
  • -It will not have mercy on him.
  • -This challenge is 100% on the shoulders of Brian to make happen.

Josh, thanks for the great podcast. I appreciate the way you are investing in Brian. I’m confident Brian will succeed. I’m in a similar situation with our business that we started in August. We were busy until December and it has been dead since then….been distributing door hangers and flyers. Time for cold calling and door knocking.

Thanks for listening! Yes, I am hoping Brian pulls it off too.

Many times we overcomplicate what it takes to get started building momentum.

Be patient, think long term and keep going my friend!

      You got this!

Josh, I just stumbled across this as I was looking for advice on growing my window cleaning business I’ve had for 9 years relying on word of mouth. Thanks for the motivation and advice on how to get momentum. Is there an update on how Brian is doing? Thanks for mentioning the ultimate purpose in life is living for Christ!
