Episode 154: If You’re Rocky Balboa Who Is Your Adrian?

Your spouse might feel very lonely and hopeless because you aren’t communicating your vision.

You have to communicate because they want to be on board with you.

One of the most difficult parts of having a small business is the marriage, relationship at home, kids, tying it all together, differences of perspective and a million more things.

I was completely underqualified to be an entrepreneur wife, I was so desperate. I would google “Entrepreneurs Wives” and they all looked so shiny…that wasn’t me.

It’s really hard for others to grasp what you’re life is like. The business owner doesn’t always understand what it’s like to be the wife. Your family doesn’t necessarily understand either. You may feel like a single parent sometimes, during the busy season.

“Oh please just go get a job.”
Now, I can’t ever imagine our life going back for you to have a 9-5 job. It would be a really hard transition for us.

If there’s one person on the planet you need to have in your corner, it’s a requirement, it’s your wife. When it gets hard, you need that pat on the back. You need them on your side.

After your husband gets a few wins under your belt, those little wins can really put some wind in your sails and keep you going.
Today, my wife Ashlee Latimer and I will discuss the ways to help your spouse understand the lifestyle.

Thank you so much for this! This has been by far the best part podcast I have listened to. The hardest part about running my window cleaning business has been how hard it has been on my spouse. This literally brought her to tears. She finally feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel and understands her importance in my business.
